CEO Message

Marcus’s journey in the insurance and financial services industry began in 2009, building upon a foundation of discipline and service learned in the United States Marine Corps. After two deployments to Iraq and an Honorable discharge, he channeled his dedication into his professional career, initially focusing on property and casualty insurance.

Throughout his career, which includes roles as an independent agent and positions with leading companies like Mutual of Omaha, Marcus has broadened his expertise to encompass life, disability, and long-term care insurance. This diverse experience culminated in the achievement of a major career goal: founding his own independent practice. Together with his partner, Matthew, he established Sentry Northwest Insurance and Investments. The name “Sentry” pays homage to their veteran roots and symbolizes their mission to guard and serve their clients’ financial well-being.
